Susmita Das, a teacher by profession, started her career teaching in kindergarten for last 20 years. She was teaching in many reputed schools in Mumbai, Pune, Muscat & Abu Dhabi. She has joined PIES, Bhavans in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi in the year 2010.
Graduated in Arts from Calcutta University and holds a Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education from University of Mumbai. She has also done her Diploma in Music from Prayag Sangit Samiti, Allahabad.
She enjoys her teaching profession to the core and believes whatever she needed to know, she has learned in kindergarten, dealing with tiny little tots. It’s not the IQ but the I WILL and I CAN that inspires her to excel with the children all the time.

She joined Bhavans Abu Dhabi in May 2011, prior to which she taught at various schools in India. She has been teaching for the past 15 years and finds teaching to be a hobby and a job rolled into one.She has done her Masters in English Language and Literature from S.N College, Kollam, a Degree in Teaching English from N.S.S College, Changanacherry and CELTA (British Council, Mumbai)She reads during her spare time and also spends a lot of time listening to the radio. Storytelling is another of her pastimes. Geography and Chemistry were her favourite subjects when she was in school.She believes that teaching is a job that requires a genuine interest in keeping oneself on par with the future generations. Savitha Sunil is a science teacher with five years of experience at primary, middle school and high school level.She started her career as a science teacher in Cambridge school in Bangalore. She joined Bhavans Abu Dhabi in April 2011.Savitha Sunil is a graduate in Botany Honors (First class) and B.Ed. from NCERT based College RCE Bhubaneswar, Utkal University.The vibrant RCE campus with its enriching experiences formed a solid base for a career of teaching. An experience of teaching earlier in her own school on teacher’s day and receiving a second prize for teaching helped her discover her passion.A childhood in the IAF campus atmosphere all through has built strong ethics and values. A sport enthusiast in school and an active participant in all activities, she believes that being part of non-academic activity or learning a particular form of art of own choice, gives a fine edge to anindividual’s personality. Teaching to her is as much a learning experience as it is to a student. She resigned her job in a co operative bank due to her passion for teaching and started her career as an Economics lecturer in private colleges and then served in reputed schools like Amritha Vidyalaya, and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. She has 18 yrs of experience in teaching as PGT and worked as HOD of Commerce dept in Bhavans school, Calicut.She has good experience in handling students for CA entrance coaching classes and is also a good trainer in Yoga.She had provided good support to the management by delivering her duties excellently as treasurer of Bhavans , PTA and secured the Best teacher award for securing excellent results in the board exams for the commerce dept. Jazar Kariath is anenthusiastic, creative, professional, responsible person and computer literate with MS Office. Positive and keen to succeed, he picks up skills quickly and applies them successfully, through good initiative. He believes that a teacher should have the ability to bond with the students, to understand and resonate with their feelings and emotions.
He completed his BA from Sir Syed College and MA in Arabic from the Calicut university and has worked as an Arabic teacher in reputed schools like VMM English school , Mattannur , Kerala. He is a lover of art and has excellent knowledge in the traditional muslim dance forms of kerala like the oppana of men.
He joined the PIES Bhavans, in 2010 and since then has contributed greatly to improve the learning of Arabic among students and worked hard to coordinate activities of the Arabic dept as HOD. As his basic functions he considers to have in him cultural team work as quality and culture on productivity, and has excellent skills in developing new strategies and techniques of learning.

Haneesh Karthikeyan
Mr. Haneesh is a very enthusiastic and diligent physical education teacher ,started his career in sports at the age of 12 and when he was in 8th standard he had completed the cross country event (15km) finishing as the 16th participant . He joined the Calicut University to continue sports as a provision and in the Calicut University Intercollegiate Cross Country competition his team secured the 3rd position. In Calicut University he had represented BPE , Football team, Cricket team, Athletics team, Handball team. He completed his Post graduation from Kannur University and also represented Kannur university Handball team for the intercollegiate tournament held at Annamalai university . He represented the Football team, Cricket team, Handball team, Kho- kho team and Athletics team in the Kannur university also.
He had started his teaching profession from KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA – 2000. Then in 2003, he had joined the BHARATHIYA VIDYA BHAVAN, KOCHI KENDRA, and during his tenure , the cochin Kendra had hosted CBSE SOUTH ZONE Badminton tournament for the first time, and also CBSE Nationals. He had trained the Bhavanites of Kochi Kendra to the CBSE Nationals and the team secred various prizes consecutively for three years. He was one of the organizers who conducted the National integration camp 2009 in the Kochi Kendra under the Shikshan Bharathi. He was in charge of the NCC 21 KERALA Battalion in Bhavans News print Vidyalaya. In 2010, he was deputed to Bhavans Abudhabi as one of the founder teachers who established the new school .
He has qualified as class one national football referee and state badminton referee .He was assigned duty by the All India Football A ssociation during the 60th Santhosh Trophy Tournament as a local manager of services team.He has made remarkable achievements in the Marathon hel in Dubai on January 27, 2012 by qualifying along with popular athlets and secured a medal for finishing 42.195 Kms full Marathon.His skills include good organizing capacities for mega events, an excellent coach and a person with a humanitarian approach . He has a good skill to play Key board, Tabla, Violin, Harmonium & Drums. He started his career as Music teacher in the Bhavans Kochi Kendra since 2004 and has a brilliant record as a dedicated music trainer as his team of Bhavans Kochi Kendra made remarkable achievements during his tenure , securing the first position in state level, several times.Skills include:-Great passion for music & excellent skills in studio recording and as coordinator of cultural programs, A sincere and hardworking professional singer.Achievements: Award winner-Kerala Sahithya Academy by PWD Minister Kerala, a disciple of the famous Karnatic musician Professor Mavelikkara P.Subrahmanyam, Best male singer in all Kerala south Zone music competition in 2004 awarded by great musician V. Janaranjani is a leading Bharatanatyam Teacher, dancer and choreographer, acclaimed for her ability to turn a traditional grammar into subtle, deeply internalized, personal dance poetry.
Janaranjani had early training at the age of six in Bharatanatyam & Carnatic music under legendary Gurus from Kalakshetra, Chennai. It is a tradition that deepened her awareness of the fact that text and music are as inseparably linked ‘as the word and its meaning’. Her approach to sahitya – or the lyrical content of each composition is marked by the impulse to tune into the silences in a stanza, the blank spaces in a text. This ability to relate to poetry as a complex compound of music and meaning also inspires her.
Janaranjani holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from Bharathidasan University, Trichirapalli, India. With over twelve years of experience as a teacher, Janaranjani joined PIES as one of the founder teachers.
Janaranjani believes Dance gives a spiritual education – not God spiritual or religious spiritual – but to be a good human. She also believes that there is no religion higher than TRUTH and there is no nobler profession than being a true TEACHER.
